1757 - As ''underofficer'', Twed was named ''opperhoved'' for the new Danish colony on the Nicobar Islands (VGK 6,Struwe, 232). Møller writes of how Twed brought much tobacco and many textiles that were given to the inhabitants of the islands, which made it difficult for [[Lund, Christian Frederik]] to do any trade with them afterwards, where they only wanted "guns and iron". Møller also refers to Twed as an old man who had a problem with drink (Møller 1797 500-501)

1757 - Died 18 days upon his arrival to the Nicobar Islands. The men he had brought with him were all ill upon arrival (Møller 1797, 500)
