Apparently he had partnered with [[Heyberg]], a former ''Skibsassistent'' of DAC and now a private trader "''på Kysterne og i Bengalen''". Together they had a debt of 11916 tael with [[Ingsia]] and 5974 teal with [[Manqua]]. Irgens additionaly owed [[Ingsia]] 5000 pillars. The Swedish supercargo [[Hahr, Jakob]] was also involved in that trade and suffered a loss. After the death of Irgens, [[Mourier, Peter Poul Ferdinand]] was hired as Assistent.
