Agent Wolff found to be a good merchant in 1779 (in connection with a warehouse expansion) (Nyrop, Reiersen, 1896)

Could this man be the same as Ernst Friderich Wolff, who in 1772 was listed as subscribent, i.e. contributor, to a reprint of Ludvig Holberg’s comic epos Peder Paars, where he is listed as "merchant in London" (Holberg, Peder Paars, 1772)? And could he have family relation to the merchant in London, Wolff, George, who is also listed as such in the 1772 list of subscribents of Peder Paars?
