1795 - Began as Hong merchant and continued till 1825. (Mail from Paul van Dyke 2015)
1823 - Sent his portrait to king Frederik VI in return for a portrait recieved from the king in thanks of his services to the DAC. Along with the portrait, he also gave the king to boxes of tea and a Jui, or ceremonial scepter. (Clemmensen & Mackeprang 1980:282)
