Could this be the same person as "Jens Wedegge" who in 1772 was listed as subscribent, i.e. contributor, to a reprint of Ludvig Holberg’s comic epos Peder Paars, where he is listed as "grosserer in Copenhagen" (Holberg, Peder Paars, 1772)
1766 - Listed as owning a Sæbe=Syderi on the corner of Store Regne Gaden and Gotters=Gaden. (Holck: Dannemarcks Handels=Speil 1766:49)
