1755 - Travelled on board the ship Kongen af Danmark as part of the first expedition to colonise the Nicobar Islands, alongside Tanck, Jørgen Bartholomæus (Larsen Ostindiske Personalia)

1756 - As the plans to colonise the Nicobar Islands were under way, there was increasing disagreements between Tanner and Tanck, Jørgen Bartholomæus (Larsen Ostindiske Personalia)

1756 - Upon the death of Tanck, Jørgen Bartholomæus, Tanner remained "somewhat passive" and most of his men "either died or deserted" on the Nicobar Islands (Larsen Ostindiske Personalia)
