House of Godenius & Fenwick

Established in 1776 in Elsinore by a partnership between Godenius, Carl Friedrich and Fenwick, George, occasionally known as Georg Fenvig. (Müller 1935, p. 194)
The company traded with tobacco, wine, spirits, porcelain and East Indian goods. (Müller 1935, p. 194)
After the death of both merchants, the widow Bluhme, Maria Elisabeth, née Brügmann, continued the company. In 1787 Fenwick, William, the son of George Fenwick's brother became partner in the company. In 1791, the company was dissolved because of disagreement between the two partners.(Müller 1935, p. 198)
