Niels Christian Møller

In the publication on the Danish colonisation of the Nicobar Islands, published in 1797, Møller wrote that he had lived in the East Indies for 16 years, where he was "an officer of the Danish troops" (Møller 1797, 477). He also writes: "I hereby humbly propose a plan, which has been born from love for my King and country in my soul, and my honour bids me to humbly to put this forward to your royal highness" (Text in Danish original: "Jeg vover altsaa herved underdanigst at fremsætte en Plan, som kierlighed for min Konge og mit Fødeland har avlet i min Siel, og min egen Ære byder mig underdanigst at nedlægge for Deres kongelige Højhed") (Møller 1797, 477).
